If you live in a dog friendly household, the dog could be shedding hair which could make the carpet quite messy. This may be very frustrating for anyone wanting to keep the carpet clean. The barely dampened sponge method – Use a barely dampened sponge to mop the carpet containing the dog hair. The hair should stick on the sponge in lumps from where you should pick it .This method works well especially in a low-pile carpet.

The latex gloves method-Rubber gloves or cloth gardening gloves could also be used if you don’t have latex gloves. Wear the gloves and rub the carpet using them. The hair should stick on the gloves in lumps from where you should pick and dump it. To obtain best results wet the gloves

Using the inflate balloon method-Inflate a balloon and rub it on the carpet surface this creates static charges on the balloon which attracts the dog hair thus removing it from the carpet. Pick the hair from the balloon and repeat the process until all the hair is over.

Use the weigh it down method-This method involves soaking the palm of your hand in water and using the soaked palm of your hand to wipe the area of the carpet containing dog hair in a downward motion. The dog hair should stick in your hand where you should remove it. Repeat the process until you’ve removed all the hair.

Use the sellotape method-Wrap some sellotape on the carpet with the sticky, adhesive part of the sellotape facing the carpet. Gently remove the sellotape from the carpet and the dog hair should have stuck on the sellotape’s sticky part, dump that sellotape and repeat the process using another sellotape until all the hair is eliminated.
